Prickly Ash, CBD , and Absorption
We asked Jason Miller, DACM, Chief Formulator of Green Earth Medicinals, to explain why he includes Prickly Ash (Zanthoxylum clava-herculis) in his CBD botanical formulations.
As a diffusive stimulant that increases secretions, prickly ash is one of several medicinal plants known to contain a group of chemical compounds called “alkyl amides.” This plant is a synergist with hemp extract. We include it in our CBD ORAL | Buccal Spray and CBD ORAL | Sleep Spray to facilitate absorption of CBD and enhance the formula’s effect on the ECS (Endocannabinoid System).
